Welcome to the website of the Melbourne Chinese Law Society (MCLS).
MCLS is a non-profit student organization which is based in Melbourne Law School. It is a member-based society. Applications to join are welcome at any time and decisions on membership shall be made by the Committee of Representatives in accordance with the Constitution. More details on membership can be found in our Constitution.
The aims of MCLS are:
(1) to promote comparative legal research on Chinese and Australian law;
(2) to provide a communication platform to law students/graduates who have an interest in Chinese law within the Melbourne legal community;
(3) to encourage interaction between Chinese law students/graduates and the Melbourne legal community;
(4) to foster the understanding of Chinese law in Australia.
